Ideas for reinforcing at home:

-After watching a television show, ask your child to explain what the show was about and to give you some details about what happened during the show.

-Keep a journal of words that you and your child might see on television, driving down the street or even while in the store. Discuss the meaning of the word or think of a word that has a similar meaning or opposite meaning.

**Students should be reading nightly. While they are reading please make sure that you and the student  are filling out their reading log information nightly. We will start to fill out a reading log of books that students are reading while at school. Students are expected to read 25 books by the end of the school year. Please make sure that you are asking them questions while they are reading to help them with their comprehension skills.
